XM Satellite Radio Partners with GM Racing for 2005

New Sponsor Teams Up With Corvette Racing and Team Cadillac

DETROIT The Chevrolet Corvette Racing and Cadillac CTS-V Racing programs announced on Friday a new associate sponsorship for 2005 with XM Satellite Radio, the nation's leading provider of satellite radio. The partnership will feature XM Radio logos on the Corvette and CTS-V race cars as well as an integrated marketing program.

"Having XM Satellite Radio as an associate sponsor on our Corvette and Cadillac is another example of the great enthusiasm for GM's racing programs," said David Pettit, business development manager for GM Racing. "We look forward to our teams continuing their winning ways and providing a great marketing channel for XM."

XM delivers its coast-to-coast, digital-quality service with more than 130 channels of commercial-free music plus news, talk, radio, sports, comedy and children's programming. GM has manufactured more than 1 million vehicles with factory-installed XM radios. XM is available on than 50 GM cars and trucks for the 2005 model year.  XM is standard on the CTS-V and the all-new 2005 Corvette.

The sponsorship extends through the end of 2005. The Corvette and Cadillac racing cars will feature XM Radio logos for the two remaining races in 2004. The Compuware Corvette Racing team is closing in on a record-setting 2004 season after winning eight straight races, including the 12 Hours of Sebring, the 24 Hours of Le Mans and every single American Le Mans Series event to date. Team Cadillac has had an impressive debut season to match, with four podium finishes, including three pole positions and two victories, in eight rounds of racing in 2004.
