George & Carole Nix of San Bernardino, California, Were Chosen to Receive a One-of-a-Kind PRS Corvette Z06 Guitar

PRS Z06 Guitar DETROIT - Corvette Racing and PRS Guitars are pleased to announce George & Carole Nix of San Bernardino, California, were chosen to receive a one-of-a-kind PRS Corvette Z06 guitar signed by current and former Corvette Racing drivers, including Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Ron Fellows and Johnny O'Connell. The instrument was the centerpiece of the 2005 Corvette Heritage Tour, a national traveling display dedicated to the history and legacy of Corvette.

Mr. & Mrs. Nix were randomly selected from information they submitted while visiting the tour at Crest Chevrolet in San Bernardino. They are long-time Corvette enthusiasts and founding members of Corvettes West, one of the largest chapters of the National Council of Corvette Clubs (NCCC) in the U.S. George & Carole own two Corvettes, one from 1965 and the other, a 2004 model.

The Corvette Heritage Tour welcomed over 93,000 guests in 2005, its fifth season. The property visited more than a dozen Chevy dealerships, and came to some of the leading Corvette specialty events, including the National Corvette Museum's C5/C6 Bash, Bloomington Gold and Corvettes at Carlisle.

Corvette Racing had an outstanding year in 2005, sweeping the American Le Mans Series GT1 manufacturers championship, the drivers championship, the team championship, and the pit crew championship. The team also won its class at 24 Hours of Le Mans. Overall, Corvette Racing has now recorded 45 victories in 66 races, and 31 of those wins were 1-2 finishes.
