Members of the media are invited to participate in an American Le Mans Series teleconference with Johnny
O'Connell, driver of the No. 3 Compuware Corvette C6.R, and Doug Fehan, Corvette Racing program manager. They will
discuss the technical challenges, performance characteristics, and environmental benefits of cellulosic E85R
ethanol racing fuel. Corvette Racing will use this renewable high-octane fuel, which is made primarily from wood
waste, in the upcoming ALMS Acura Sports Car Challenge of St. Petersburg on April 5.
O'Connell and teammates Jan Magnussen and Ron Fellows won the GT1 class in the season-opening Mobil 1 Twelve
Hours of Sebring on March 15. O'Connell became the all-time leader in Sebring victories with his seventh class win
on the historic circuit, breaking a longstanding tie with motorsports legend Phil Hill, who tallied six career
victories on the Sebring course. O'Connell has previously raced twice on the St. Petersburg street circuit,
driving a Cadillac CTS-V to a runner-up finish in the SCCA World Challenge GT race in 2006 and driving a Corvette
C6.R in the inaugural ALMS race in 2007.
