Corvette Racing’s Antonio Garcia and Jordan Taylor won Saturday’s Michelin GT Challenge at VIR in the No. 3 Mobil 1/SiriusXM Chevrolet Corvette C8.R – their second straight victory in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and third since the beginning of July.

It was the fourth straight victory for Corvette Racing in the GT Le Mans (GTLM) category and the program’s fourth at VIR. Garcia and Taylor also extended their lead in the GTLM Driver’s Championship, as did Chevrolet in the Manufacturer’s standings.

ANTONIO GARCIA, NO. 3 MOBIL 1/SiriusXM CHEVROLET CORVETTE C8.R – RACE-WINNER: “It was crazy out there! We had everything today. We had a bad first pit stop to cycle us all the back to the back. Jordan fought his way back all the way to second, which was brilliant. The pace was really good but the gap to the Porsche was just way too high. I tried to push right away but couldn’t do much to gain 13 seconds. As soon as the 911 had problems and on the same lap, the car started to shake a lot. But now we know the Corvette C8.R is good with almost no rear diffuser! I’m really proud of today and that everything stayed in one piece. It was really, really challenging to drive to the end but I’m so happy for everyone at Corvette Racing.”

JORDAN TAYLOR, NO. 3 MOBIL 1/SiriusXM CHEVROLET CORVETTE C8.R – RACE WINNER: “This is a staple of Corvette Racing that we never give up. Today was about attrition. We were the only ones to really survive today with minimal issues. Everyone else either went off track or had tire issues. We had our own little issues but were able to execute on top of it and come away with another win for Corvette Racing.”
